Context

SYSTRA Canada is looking for a Traffic Analyst. The role supports major LRT and transit project through data analysis, traffic modelling, GIS, and multimodal transportation studies.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Research and analyze mobility data to identify trends and issues.
  • Operate specialized software in transportation modeling or traffic engineering including Synchor and Vissim
  • Conduct GIS analysis using tools such as ArcGIS.
  • Support the execution of mobility studies, including multimodal transportation planning, traffic engineering, on major LRT and transit projects.

Profile/Skills

Education: University degree in engineering.

Years of experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar role. 

Technical skills:

  • Have experience in data analysis and processing, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge software related to transportation planning or modelling including Synchor, Vissim.
  • Show proficiency in developing solutions.
  • Knowledge of GIS is an asset.

Personal and soft skills:

  • Possess excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of organization.
  • Exhibit open-mindedness and flexibility.
  • Show proficiency in developing solutions.
