Missions/Main Duties

Assist in the development of annual Business Plan and to monitor and report on the Business Plan implementation across divisions and departments, while providing recommendations to close identified gaps. To continuously assess, develop, recommend and implement improvement opportunities to optimize organizational performance. To support the Strategy team in the development and implementation of adhoc strategic initiatives.

 

Strategic: 

  • Development, execution and monitoring annual Business and operational plans
  • Identify key opportunities and strategic issues impacting short- and long-term goals
  • Evaluate opportunities including the development of business cases which may include market research and analysis, cost-benefit analysis and financial modelling
  • Keep abreast of transportation and mobility developments worldwide and identify future trends that may impact corporate strategy
  • Identify opportunities to institutionalize and improve the strategic planning process throughout the organization
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic corporate initiatives
  • Preparation of Senior Management presentations

Operational: 

  • Establish and maintain an accurate and consistent performance reporting framework and monitor organizational performance against approved targets.
  • Evaluate the execution of Business Plans, KPIs, initiatives, and milestones against agreed targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews and root-cause analyses with relevant departments and oversee the implementation of corrective actions and improvement initiatives to drive corporate performance improvement.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly and adhoc performance reports for leadership
  • Run adhoc analysis, summarise findings and prepare output presentations when required

The job holder is accountable for defining, developing, monitoring and reporting strategic objectives and goals and to optimize organizational performance through continuous assessment, development and implementation of improvement opportunities

Profile/Skills

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

  • More than 5 years of overall experience, including at least 2 years in management consulting or 5 years in a strategy/corporate planning function within a leading organization.

Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prepare high quality, Senior Management level presentations
  • Preferred experience in Transport and/or Rail sector, or in the local Qatari market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
