BG&E Minerals is a wholly owned subsidiary of BG&E (Part of SYSTRA), established to service the Mining and Minerals sector across Australia and New Zealand. Leveraging BG&E's 50+ years of proven expertise in buildings, roads and rail, our vision is to build a multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery business capable of delivering projects with a capital value of up to $500 million, while upholding BG&E's long-standing reputation for technical excellence.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the establishment of BG&E Minerals and its growth into the Mining and Minerals sector by assuming a range or responsibilities such as:

• Undertake detailed analysis and structural design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability
• Assess the behaviour and performance of materials under construction-stage conditions
• Develop and advise on construction methodologies and sequencing plans in consultation with site teams and contractors
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver coordinated solutions
• Review technical reports, drawings, and design calculations for quality and accuracy
• Prepare / Assist with the tendering and winning of work
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other project stakeholders as required for the delivery of projects
• Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and achieve project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner
• Prepare and review technical reports
• Identify and manage technical and commercial risks on behalf of BG&E and our clients
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and actively participate in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments as required
• Ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, relevant standards, corporate requirements and systems
• Represent BG&E Minerals and instil confidence in our clients and external stakeholders of the value we bring

About You

You will be a key contributor within BG&E Minerals' Structural team where you’ll apply your structural engineering expertise across a range of studies and projects.

• BEng or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Relevant industry experience (5-10 years for Senior or 10+ years for Lead)
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principles
• Skilled in structural analysis software and able to produce clear, accurate documentation
• Proven experience in developing practical, buildable solutions under site constraints
• Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly with site teams and contractors
• A proactive, hands-on approach to solving engineering challenges
