Context

Lead Telecom Engineer to supervise and monitor the installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of railway telecom systems including; multiservice network (active and Passive), Low current systems e.g CCTV, Access control, Public Address, Passenger information systems, Master Clock, IP telephone, Passive network cabling infrastructure, ensuring that site activities comply with approved designs, specs, method of statements, quality requirements.

 

Location : Depot (Hadayk October Station)

Missions/Main Duties

  1. Supervise Telecom installation activities across Stations, waysite facilities and technical buildings within his section.
  2. verify installations are performed according to the approved shop drawings, system designs, material approvals, method of statments, inspection and testing.
  3. Check readiness of work areas before installation and identify and interface constraints.
  4. verify the installed quantities and physicalprogress of each telecom subsystem aginst the approved baselines.
  5. Attend site inspections and review Work Inspection Request, Material Inspection Requests, Checlites and supporting test records.
  6. Coordinate telecom activities and report status to office
  7. Attend construction, coordination, interface technical meetings when required and follow up  telecom related actions on site.
  8. Maintain deaily and weekly records and Monthley site progress reports

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects (Railway experience is a strong advantage).
  • Proven experience in telecom systems site supervision. including: multiservice network (active and Passive), Low current systems e.g CCTV, Access control, Public Address, Passenger information systems, Master Clock, IP telephone, Passive network cabling infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret system design drawings, shop drawings, layouts
  • Experience Testing and integrated testing and system commissioning.
  • Very good technical reporting and documentation skills.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
