Context

The System Integration Engineer / Deputy Railway System Manager will support and act as Deputy to the Railway System Manager (International), contributing to all technical activities of the Lead Consultant related to Railway Systems and Rolling Stock.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of local Railway Systems experts within the LC team.
  • Lead System Integration activities, including coordination and review of scopes, specifications and interfaces between contractors.
  • Review System Integration documentation and contribute to the preparation and finalization of the Integration Plan and Interface Register.
  • Coordinate with VSP, SGC, contractors, designers and other consultants on System Integration and Railway Systems matters.
  • Carry out design reviews, prepare and follow up RCS, and monitor the timely issuance of design packages and review comments.
  • Support the Design Management process, including updates to the Design Management Plan, and ensure that contractors and designers follow the defined processes.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as ICE, ISA and the Shadow Operator.
  • Support construction supervision activities, including installation, testing, T&C, site audits, hold points and resolution of site issues.
  • Review construction documentation, including method statements, ITPs and review forms, and monitor compliance with the Construction Management Plan.
  • Report any non-compliance with design, construction or HSE processes to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Organize and participate in design and construction meetings with the client, contractors and designers, prepare MoM and follow up action plans.
  • Contribute to project reporting, including weekly meetings, monthly reports and the risk register.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical, Electronic, Systems, Railway Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong experience in Railway Systems and System Integration.
  • Good experience in design review and technical coordination.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work with clients, contractors, designers and other project stakeholders.
