Context

We are seeking a QA/QC Inspector to join the Project Management Consultant (PMC) team for a Metro project in Riyadh. The QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and verifying that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, quality plans, inspection and test plans, and applicable standards.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Conduct routine QA/QC inspections of civil construction works at the metro station site
  • Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality plans, inspection and test plans, and method statements
  • Review and monitor contractor inspection requests and ensure works are offered for inspection at the appropriate stages
  • Inspect materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved submittals and project requirements
  • Witness relevant field and laboratory tests in accordance with project quality requirements
  • Identify non-conforming works and report quality issues to the Resident Engineer or relevant supervision staff
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions and verify close-out of quality issues
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, checklists, test results, and inspection documentation
  • Coordinate with contractor QA/QC personnel and PMC supervision teams on quality-related matters
  • Support audits, surveillance activities, snagging, de-snagging, and handover inspections
  • Ensure that work is carried out in line with project quality procedures and relevant health and safety requirements
  • Report any concerns that may affect quality, compliance, or timely project delivery

Profile/Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC inspection for major civil works or infrastructure projects
  • Preferably experienced in metro, rail, infrastructure, underground, or large transportation projects
  • Experience with a PMC, supervision consultant, engineering consultancy, or contractor QA/QC team is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection requirements, quality standards, and applicable international codes and specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, method statements, and material submittals
  • Good reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to monitor contractor compliance and coordinate effectively with contractors, site teams, and multidisciplinary supervision teams
  • Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
  • Familiarity with non-conformance reports, corrective actions, material inspections, testing procedures, and quality documentation tracking is preferred
