Missions/Main Duties

The Project Engineering Coordinator supports the engineering and project management teams in the planning, coordination, and follow-up of technical activities related to transportation and infrastructure projects. Working under the supervision of more senior team members, the incumbent contributes to the smooth execution of multidisciplinary engineering assignments and helps ensure that project information, documentation, and coordination activities are properly maintained.

 

In this role, you will assist with the coordination of engineering activities between internal teams, project stakeholders, and external partners. You will support the preparation and follow-up of project schedules, action lists, deliverables registers, and meeting records. You will participate in coordination meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items with the project team.

 

You will also help monitor the progress of engineering deliverables and report schedule issues or coordination concerns to the appropriate team members. The role includes supporting the organization, filing, and maintenance of technical documents and project records, as well as facilitating communication between engineering disciplines to promote alignment and consistency across project activities.

 

In addition, you will contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and other coordination documents, while assisting with the review of project information for completeness, consistency, and compliance with internal procedures. You may also provide general administrative and project coordination support to the engineering team as required.

Profile/Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in a related field.

 

Years of experience: 0 to 5 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-op placements. Previous internship, co-op, or early-career experience in the rail, transportation, or construction industry is considered an asset.

 

Technical competencies:

  • Basic understanding of engineering project coordination and project delivery principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation and multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Ability to organize information, manage priorities, and follow up on assigned tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of project management or document control tools is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a structured manner.
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English.*
