We’re seeking expressions of interest from Human Factors (HF) professionals with consulting expertise who are interested in working across a variety of high-profile projects.

You could provide HF subject matter expertise and consulting services to clients across the ANZ transport sector, working autonomously with support from our wider HF and SESA team, or as part of a multidisciplinary SYSTRA team, depending on the project.

You’d be joining a well-established, collaborative and respected team of HF specialists across Australia.

About the role

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide consulting services to clients in the field of Human Factors (HF), predominantly in rail.
• Lead the technical delivery of HF work on infrastructure projects and undertake HF Integration and Assurance activities.
• Lead and/or contribute to tender submissions, leveraging your knowledge from a HF perspective.
• Provide HF support in other sectors as opportunities arise.
• Provide mentoring and support to HF resource and lead the development of SYSTRA HF capability and competencies.
• Drive business development and promote the SYSTRA brand to secure new business opportunities within new and existing projects.
• Collaborate with other SYSTRA teams to scope and deliver an integrated service offering, particularly within SE/SA and Operational Integration.
• Cross-collaborate with other team members to minimise project risks and enhance the positive integration/delivery of SYSTRA services.

About you

To be succesful in this role, you would ideally have the following:

• Degree Qualified in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology or a related field, and Professional Status within HF.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the application of HF methods, with previous HF experience in the rail sector.
• Experience in HF Integration and Assurance, the application of established methods and a working knowledge of applicable standards.
• Able to perform detailed research and analysis coupled with proposal writing.
• Proven abilities to build sound working relationships across diverse groups, internally and externally.
• Demonstrate a robust commercial acumen and a proactive approach to assist in the development of innovative solutions.
