Context

Provide the task force with practical railway O&M knowledge and lead the translation of the improvement plan into implementable changes within E&M.

The role will coordinate technical and operational implementation across Metro and Tram interfaces without being expected to act as the expert for every E&M system. It will draw on system engineers, operations personnel, asset managers, safety specialists, maintainers and subcontractors for detailed technical authority.

  • Support development and implementation of the joint E&M TRansformation Framework.
  • Drive practical implementation of the E&M Improvement Programme across Metro and Tram O&M, coordinating engineering, maintenance, operations, safety, asset management and subcontractor interfaces to ensure agreed improvements are workable and embedded in day-to-day delivery.
  • Provide practical railway O&M support to the E&M Transformation Programme, working across relevant workstreams and with engineering, maintenance, operations, safety, asset management, commercial and subcontractor stakeholders to translate identified improvement opportunities into practical, coordinated and sustainable operational improvements.
  • Support maintenance optimisation and innovation, coordinating objective assessment of optimisation opportunities against safety, operational, commercial and whole-life-cost considerations, and other data-driven maintenance approaches.
  • Support the implementation and embedding of E&M transformation initiatives, providing practical O&M input to operational, organisational and capability changes and helping ensure improvements are workable, appropriately resourced and sustainable within business-as-usual operations.
  • Verify that improvements are effectively implemented and sustainable, working with accountable business owners to confirm that new processes, controls and working practices are embedded into business-as-usual operations and supported by appropriate evidence

• Ability to interpret maintenance evidence, technical submissions, asset-condition information and operational performance data.
