The Senior Commercial and Contract Manager will oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of a large infrastructure project with railway maintenance operations. This role involves managing the financial and contractual obligations of the project, ensuring adherence to budget, mitigating risks, and optimizing the commercial performance of the project. The Senior Commercial and Contract Manager will play a pivotal role in contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and dispute resolution.
•Contract Management: Oversee the administration of all contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, managing any contract variations, and addressing potential risks or issues promptly.
•Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the project, focusing on maximizing revenue, controlling costs, and managing financial risks.
•Tender and Procurement Management: Lead the tendering process for subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating bids, negotiating terms, and ensuring cost-effective procurement in line with project goals.
•Cost Control and Budgeting: Monitor and manage the project budget, ensuring accurate cost forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis to maintain financial control.
•Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks related to contract performance, financial exposures, and legal obligations.
•Claims Management: Lead the resolution of claims and disputes with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring timely and fair outcomes.
•Reporting: Provide regular financial and commercial updates to senior management, including cash flow projections, financial performance, and commercial risks.
•Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, legal advisors, and clients, to ensure alignment on commercial and contractual matters.
•Legal Compliance: Ensure that all commercial activities comply with local regulations and contractual obligations, working closely with legal teams to manage disputes and arbitration when necessary.
•Team Management: Mentor and manage a team of contract administrators and quantity surveyors, ensuring the team performs effectively and supports project goals.
•Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
•Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in commercial and contract management for large-scale infrastructure or railway operations and maintenance projects.
•In-depth knowledge of contract law, FIDIC contracts, and commercial management in the infrastructure and railway sectors.
•Strong understanding of Saudi legal and regulatory frameworks, particularly in relation to contracts and commercial management.
•Proven experience in managing multi-million-dollar contracts, including dispute resolution, contract negotiation, and claims management.
