We are currently seeking a Telecommunications & SCADA Specialist for a potential rail/metro project in Mekkah, Saudi Arabia. 

• The main duties of the role will include undertaking and reviewing feasibility and option selection studies, outline design and specifications and the implementation support for the electrification SCADA and associated telecoms systems.
• You will be an expert in telecoms for rail system and will also have a complete understanding of other railway systems such as MV/LV power distribution, traction power, Telecoms, SCADA, Signalling both fixed block and transmission based, track to train radio, AFC, testing and commissioning, OCC and Operations and Maintenance.
•  The successful candidate will have a solid background in design engineering with experience working at a supervisory level on large, complex projects in the rail industry, covering all likely communication system
• Managing engineering aspects of contract requirements for the telecoms system
• Ensuring all telecoms designs are properly integrated
• Working with the other rail project teams to ensure integration of the telecoms system and equipment with the overall design 
• Reviewing and approving the DB contractor’s design deliverables including specifications, reports, schedules, drawings and technical schematics
• Producing telecoms Health and Safety documentation deliverables to meet client requirements
• Reporting on the telecoms engineering team task progress and status

• Minimum of 15 years experience in the Railway industry with emphasis in highly automated metro telecom and SCADA systems such as TETRA, Fiber Optics Data Transmission Systems, CCTV. Automated Public Address Systems
• Should have completed at least two railway projects within the last 10 years
• Must have worked at least one O&M and project supervision role in the railway industry
• Have work experience in Saudi Arabia or another GCC country
• Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
