SYSTRA is the GENERAL CONSULTANT (GC) FOR PHASE-II CORRIDOR FROM JLN STADIUM TO INFOPARK VIA KAKKANAD OF KOCHI METRO RAIL PROJECT.

 

We are seeking applications for the position of Junior Engineer - Civil (Quantity Surveyor) in Kochi Metro Project.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Preparation of cost estimation of the construction costs during design stage.
  • Assist in verification of physical progress carried out by Construction Contractors in various areas of activity.
  • Verification of physical progress and quantities of work executed with respect to stages of payment and verification of contractor's invoices. Assist in scrutiny for contractor's invoices for payment and variation statements that may be submitted by construction contractors.
  • Assist in preparation of completion estimate.

Profile/Skills

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in relevant field, out of which minimum 2 years experience should be in similar role in metro rail projects / rail projects/ major bridge projects/airports.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
  • Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
