This role will be supporting the client on Go Expansion Program and will be a part of the Design & Systems Integration team.
· The primary role revolves around producing the top-level functional, physical, and geographical system architecture diagrams for the railway project based on the existing architectural concepts created by a variety of third-party engineering organizations.
· Analyze the sub-systems' ICDs to produce the system architecture drawings.
· Create architecture viewpoints by organizing diagram objects into layers according to system breakdown structure and work schedules
· Crosscheck the architecture diagrams against GIS database for verification.
· Maintain and update system library objects.
· Presents the system architecture diagrams to customers and/or other engineering/management teams.
· Collaborate with other disciplines i.e. Civils, Signalling, Integration, RAMS, Project Scheduling etc
· Identify and define the workflow processes specific to the system architecture.
· Promotes a safety culture.
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Systems, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
· Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in systems engineering.
· Advanced knowledge and work experience with MS Visio and Office suite.
· Ability to acquire deep understanding of new technologies with minimal guidance.
· Hands-on experience with CAD tools and drawing conventions/standards.
· Competency in interactions between mechanical, electrical, and software components in complex systems
· Knowledge of systems life cycle V-model, configuration management and change control process.
· Good technical writing and communication skills.
· Good collaboration and presentation skills.
· Work experience with railway systems and ETCS/CBTC design is an asset.
· Knowledge of MBSE approach to systems engineering is an asset.
· Knowledge of standards i.e., CMREA, CENELEC, AREMA, ISO 15288 is an asset
