Context

SYSTRA Philippines Incorporated (SPI) is actively looking for a Head Of Finance who will report to the Vice-Chairman of SPI and functionally to Asia CFO.

 

Based in Manila, he / she will be responsible for the finance (accounting, treasury, tax activities), payroll and admin activities for SPI. He / she generally monitors the security, compliance, accuracy of financial and payroll reporting to the region and headquarters.

Missions/Main Duties

Finance & Accounting:

  • Manage the local finance team
  • Establish the statutory accounts
  • Manage the relationship with external and internal auditors
  • Manage the monthly closing process
  • Follow-up of the client billing and cashing of the country projects
  • Manage all supplier payments
  • Management of the budget cycle: development of the annual budget, forecasting and budget exercises, gap analysis
  • Management of the monthly closing process: reporting production, analysis of the results of Business, indicator monitoring, analysis and understanding of gap.
  • Monitoring and controlling of dashboards and financial indicators in the Area (WC, DSO, ... )

Follow-up of projects:

  • Financial component validation for major tenders issued
  • Set up new the financials KPI of new contracts
  • Monitoring of the monthly contract’s reviews
  • Validation of initial budgets of contracts managed
  • Monthly review of contracts in collaboration with the operational team
  • Challenge the financial KPIs of projects

Treasury:

  • Manage all bank POAs as per company rules and local regulation
  • Handle all the banking matters (opening or closing bank account…)
  • Management of the Treasury forecast through our tool “Cash Solve”
  • Management of the Treasury reporting’s

Tax:

  • Manage tax assessments and payments in accordance with the Bureau of Internal Revenue requirements
  • Manage tax records in conjunction with the Region and Group Tax Department
  • Participation in the resolution of international tax issues, in conjunction with the Region and Group Tax Department

Process, standards, and internal control:

  • Identify and implement improvement projects of financial process
  • Ensure the correct application of procedures, standards, and Group management rules
  • Ensure the existence of a good level of local internal control and participate in its improvement
  • Monitor and review of internal control locally, monitor action plans decided by the Risk Management and Audit department

Others:

  • Identify the best practices that could be generalized at Group level
  • Participate to ad hoc financial studies for the Finance Department
  • Ensure the dissemination of financial literacy and Group management rules

Profile/Skills

EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Accounting and /or Financial Management (preferably a Certified Public Accountant)

BACKGROUND:

  • 15 years of experience in accounting and financial management within operations / project management environment
  • Experience in a multicultural environment

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong financial skills
  • Financial planning and reporting
  • Solid background of operations management

PERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to react quickly to issues and problems that may arise
  • Good organization skills, rigor, intellectual curiosity
  • Very good communication skills, clarity of explanations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
