Our services cover the entire life cycle of the project implementation.

 

Currently, we are bidding for Renewable Energy projects in Bangladesh. The position of Team Leader is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Knowledge of the power sector in general and in Bangladesh specifically, main available wind and solar technologies, as well as their main characteristics and typical costs (CAPEX and OPEX) for the development and due diligence of renewable energy projects;
  • Ability to carry out technical analyses of renewable (solar/wind) energy projects in the preparation of such projects;
  • Ability to discuss both technical aspects and overall project ones with the stakeholders, i.e. EIB as European IFI and relevant national stakeholders, such as PD, SREDA, BPDB, RPCL, PGCB, etc., and organise and conduct stakeholder meetings;
  • Ability to use relevant analytical software packages such as PVSyst® or similar;
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and guidelines and how to implement them;
  • Ability to identify capacity building requirements and planning analyses;
  • Ability to carry out and/or participate in carrying out risk analyses;
  • Ability to produce bankable analysis and reports;
  • Ability to understand and assess technical analyses of renewable energy projects in the preparation of such projects;
  • The expert should be able to understand if the information provided (for the purpose of analysis of wind and solar energy projects) is correct at the due diligence level;
  • Ability to carry out and/or participate in carrying out of pre-feasibility and/or feasibility studies;
  • Demonstrable senior assessment/research expertise in the team leader's role;
  • Excellent analytical, conceptualization and report writing skills; and Excellent presentation /communication skills.

Profile/Skills

Qualification and skills

  • Master degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Good command of written and spoken English – both at least equivalent to level C1 of CEFR;
  • Good command level of speaking and writing knowledge of Bangla would be an advantage.

Professional experience 

  • Minimum 15 years professional experience;
  • At least 10 years in consulting on the preparation of utility-scale, grid-connected renewable (solar) energy projects;
  • Experience in the South Asian region is mandatory;
  • Specific experience in Bangladesh is an asset.

Specific professional experience

At least two projects were implemented as team leader or deputy team leader, including wind and solar ones.
