Context

The Technical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating production teams, ensuring consistency and managing exported constraints between technical disciplines (infrastructure, systems, architecture) in order to guarantee the implementation of a safe, reliable and efficient transport system, while ensuring its seamless integration into the urban environments it crosses.

Missions/Main Duties

Design the reference project:

  • Set up and lead the project's technical interface management process (identification, formalization, follow-up and closure of interfaces);
  • Organize and lead workshops to resolve these technical interfaces, including the various stakeholders (internal or external to the design consortium) involved along the route;
  • Manage and formalize input data requirements to be obtained from stakeholders internal or external to the design consortium;
  • Organize technical design reviews to ensure consistency of design activities and proper handling of interfaces;
  • Where necessary, support the process of defining and identifying functional and technical requirements;
  • Conduct and support technical risk analyses;
  • Draft technical documents relating to the identification and specification of interfaces and to the overall vision of the project.

Participation in Transit business unit activities:

 

Depending on his/her workload, the technical coordinator may participate in other Transit business unit activities:

  • Participate in responses to calls for tender:
    • Participate in tender launch meetings;
    • Write technical briefs within his/her field of competence;
  • Connect to the Group's internal network of expertise, useful for the deployment of expertise useful to the transport infrastructure sector, asset management, operating performance, eco-design of structures, BIM... ;

Profile/Skills

Education: Engineering education applicable to the urban mobility sector.

Years of experience: At least 10 years' experience in tramway and/or urban transport projects

 

Technical competencies: 

  • Must be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or able to register;
  • Excellent command of French, English is an asset;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • You are able to manage the interface between technical teams and end-user needs.

Personal and soft skills:

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment;
  • Ability to organize and plan work;
  • Methodical, rigorous and proactive;
  • Interest in acquiring, applying and transmitting new knowledge.
