Context

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior BIM Manager to oversee the management, coordination, and execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for our Design Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM strategies for all design and construction-related projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the effective use of BIM technology to enhance design quality, improve project outcomes, and streamline workflows.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Leadership & Strategy:

    • Lead and mentor a team of BIM professionals within the Design Centre, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Develop and implement BIM strategies, workflows, and best practices tailored to project requirements and organizational goals.
    • Ensure that BIM standards and protocols align with industry standards, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • BIM Coordination & Execution:

    • Manage and oversee all BIM-related activities for the Design Centre, ensuring timely and effective execution of projects.
    • Coordinate BIM models across multiple disciplines (architecture, structural, MEP, etc.), ensuring compatibility and conflict resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and designers to integrate BIM into the design process, ensuring smooth and efficient project delivery.
    • Lead and support the BIM implementation for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors, to ensure alignment and successful BIM implementation.
    • Provide guidance and training to the team, clients, and other stakeholders on BIM tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Technology & Tools Management:

    • Oversee the selection and deployment of BIM software tools and technologies that best meet project needs (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360).
    • Monitor and evaluate new developments in BIM technologies and incorporate innovative solutions to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
  • Quality Control & Continuous Improvement:

    • Ensure all BIM models are of the highest quality, meeting internal standards and client expectations.
    • Establish and enforce quality control procedures to review, update, and audit BIM models and deliverables.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of new tools or workflows.
  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare and present regular reports on BIM progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior management and key stakeholders.
    • Ensure proper documentation of BIM processes, standards, and model versions to maintain accurate records.

Profile/Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in BIM management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing BIM processes for design or construction projects.
  • Skills & Expertise:
    • Proficiency in BIM software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and other industry-standard applications.
    • Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and best practices.
    • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary BIM teams and complex projects.
    • Excellent project management skills, including budget and timeline management.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards related to BIM.
  • Certification in BIM (e.g., BIM Manager, Revit Professional).
  • Experience with large-scale, multidisciplinary design and construction projects ideally in mobility /railway, infrastructure , large scale masterplan projects.
  • Experience in Middle East, ideally Saudi Arabia, a must
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
