Currently, we are bidding for UrbanPlanning projects across India. The position of Landscape Architect/Urban Designer is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Develop Land Use Framework: Allocate land for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and green spaces.
  • Zoning Regulations and Policies: Establish zoning laws to regulate building heights, densities, and land-use patterns.
  • Mixed-Use and Smart Growth Planning: Promote walkable communities with mixed land uses to reduce congestion and urban sprawl.
  • Plan for road expansions, expressways, and smart traffic management solutions.
  • Ensure efficient water supply, drainage, sewage systems, and energy networks.
  • Implement flood mitigation, green building guidelines, and climate adaptation measures.
  • Design parks, recreational areas, and biodiversity zones to enhance urban livability.
  • Promote renewable energy integration and eco-friendly urban design principles.
  • Employment and Economic Hubs: Design business districts and industrial zones to attract investment.
  • Align Plans with National and Local Policies: Ensure master plan adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Urban Governance and Policy Advocacy: Collaborate with government agencies to implement planning policies.
  • Organize public consultations, surveys, and workshops to incorporate citizen input.
  • Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze land use, transportation, and environmental factors.
  • Develop Implementation Roadmaps: Create phased action plans for short-term, medium-term, and long-term development.
  • Monitor Urban Growth and Adapt Plans: Assess changes in population, economy, and infrastructure needs, updating the master plan as necessary.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor`s Degree in Architecture with Post Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design or equivalent with 10 years of experience.
  • Experience in landscape planning/ urban designing such as designing
    green spaces, streetscapes, public spaces, park, plazas and pedestrian pathways with a focus on sustainability.
  • Ability to use software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Autodesk Revit, Lumion, or V-Ray and Adobe Creative Suite to create realistic renderings and visualizations of proposed designs. At least 2 completed projects in Sikkim/Hilly/North Easten States.
