Context

Our Asia System Engineering Centre is a hub of railway systems expertise, dedicated to delivering exceptional projects both within Asia and on an international scale. As a key Centre of Competency for the SYSTRA Group, we pride ourselves on our ability to manage and support diverse projects across the globe. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Engineer to grow our service business in Electromagnetic Compatibility management (EMC) for public rail transportation and mobility solutions. 

Missions/Main Duties

  • Develop and promote SYSTRA EMC management services to key clients for the South-East Asia region. Prepare competitive bids that satisfy all aspects of our clients technical/commercial.
  • Lead the execution of our EMC services with clients as a Project Manager or Lead Consultant, ensuring the delivery of services on time, on cost and to the satisfaction of our clients, in particular:
    • Redaction of the EMC Management plan for the project.
    • Definition of the EMC rules and installation guidelines to be applied by the equipment manufacturer and EMC review throughout the design phases.
    • Preparation of EMC and EMI risk Analysis reports. 
    • Redaction of the EMC Test plans and procedures for the EMC tests in-laboratory and liaise with external Lab. 
    • Review of the EMC Type test reports and proposition of solution and/or mitigation measures in case of non-compliance.
    • Realization of EMC audits at contractors’ facilities.
    • Realization of EMC tests in house and on-site.
    • Troubleshooting at client facility.
  • Ensure that the scope of services, timeframes, budgets are clearly defined and communicated internally & externally through ongoing monitoring and management. Report to the management on overall service performance, anticipating associated risks and opportunities to take appropriate response and actions.
  • Maintain and develop our overall technical competencies, methods and tools in EMC management. Ensure EMC tools are calibrated and ready to be used on site.

Profile/Skills

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in electrical / Electronic engineering or related discipline.
  • 10 years’ experience in the rail sector, with a broad variety of exposure to railway systems; (power supply, communications, signaling, rolling stock … etc).
  • Proven experience of managing EMC tools such as spectrum analyser, antennas, magnetic field measurer…etc
  • Proven experience finalising at least one overall railway project lifecycle for Power supply system (from design to on-site test realization).
  • Proven experience working with - at least - the following standards EN 50121-5 / EN 50121-2 / EN 50121-4 / EN 45502-2-1 / ICNIRP regulations / IEC TR 61000-5-2.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively to a range of internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
  • Able to effectively provide subject matter expertise and assistance to clients from project award phase through design until test and commissioning phase.

Skills and personality:

  • Ability of multi-tasking, handling various projects with various clients over the South Asian region.
  • Capability to work in an autonomous manner delivering EMC management activities.
  • Good communication skills, good command of English, other languages are a plus.
