Context

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Stakeholder Lead to join our team for a major  project. The Stakeholder Lead  will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. This individual will manage the interfaces between various departments, contractors, government entities, and other relevant parties to ensure project alignment, timely delivery, and successful implementation of the programme.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external project stakeholders, including government authorities, contractors, consultants, local communities, and regulatory bodies.

  • Interface Coordination: Manage and facilitate effective communication across multiple project interfaces to prevent issues and delays. Ensure that project objectives, timelines, and requirements are clearly communicated and adhered to by all stakeholders.

  • Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for issues related to stakeholder relationships, resolving conflicts and addressing concerns in a timely and effective manner.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, planners, and architects, to identify key interfaces and ensure integration between various aspects of the transportation project.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all stakeholder interactions, agreements, and interface-related documentation.
  • Change Management: Support the implementation of changes in project scope or schedules by managing the impact on stakeholders and ensuring effective communication of changes.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead regular meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress and gather their feedback.

Profile/Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Urban Planning, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in stakeholder management within the transportation, infrastructure, or public transportation sector.

    • Proven experience managing complex interfaces across multiple stakeholders in large-scale projects.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and interfaces simultaneously.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.

    • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

    •  Strong leadership and team-oriented mindset.
    • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
    • Adaptable and able to handle dynamic and evolving project environments.
    • Effective at building rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
    • Ability to think strategically and ensure that stakeholder needs are balanced with project goals.
