SYSTRA is one of the world's leading engineering and consultancy groups specialising in public transport and sustainable mobility. With over 10,300 employees, SYSTRA's mission is to design safe and sustainable transport solutions to bring people together, develop social inclusion and facilitate access to employment, education and leisure throughout the world.

For 65 years, the Group has been working alongside cities and regions to contribute to their development by creating, improving and modernising their infrastructure and transport systems, throughout the life cycle of their projects. SYSTRA is involved from the earliest stages of design through to the testing, deployment and maintenance phases. The company provides all its services in over 80 countries worldwide and generates 74% of its turnover internationally. With its new services, SYSTRA supports its clients and partners in their digital, ecological and energy transition, in order to invent the mobility of tomorrow.

Context

SYSTRA supports the modernization and automation of numerous metro networks in Europe and around the world. The introduction of new trains and the replacement of signalling with CBTC-type systems will improve the regularity and density of traffic as well as passenger comfort. These operations involve numerous interfaces with the infrastructure (tunnels and depots) and existing systems (passenger information, SCADA, power supply, ventilation, etc.). SYSTRA provides the technical expertise required for the success of these programs, in the areas of operability, design, integration, migration, and testing.

For these programs, SYSTRA is looking for an engineer to deal with topics such as:

  • Management of Operational Scenarios as part of systemic approaches to identify the needs of the operator and the maintainer;
  • Technical management of interfaces between the different systems (CBTC, Rolling Stock, Platform Facades, SCADA, Passenger Information, Maintenance Assistance Systems, etc.);
  • Participation in system integration and validation testing.

For this type of activity, it is desirable to have already led the resolution of complex interfaces and/or to have participated in most phases of a metro project. This provides a final view of a Transport System and its use, in order to provide the added value expected by the Customer.

You will work in an integrated organization, in contact with other System Engineers, and in relation or technical animation with system suppliers, operators and maintainers, with operational safety, as well as with experts in each System (e.g. CBTC, Rolling Stock or Platform Facades).

Missions/Main Duties

  2. Drafting and/or updating of operational scenarios at the level of Transport System, organization of reviews in workshops or traditional, with end users on the one hand and projects on the other hand;
  3. Writing technical notes for Systems migration;
  4. Drafting of test procedures, participation in the organization of trials, formalization of results and coordination of the resolution of any problems detected.
