Context

SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in Ireland, working on high profile infrastructure projects, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK & Ireland by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.


We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Dublin office, by recruiting an experienced Engineer.


The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Construction and Engineering industry.

Missions/Main Duties

 

  • Assist the Project Supervisor in overseeing and carrying out all construction assurance activities for the project.
  • Ensure work carried out by the Design and Build Contractors is done efficiently and compliantly in line with relevant standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead Engineering Assurance across the project, providing strategic direction.
  • Oversee the management of a high-performing, integrated team.
  • Develop financial and resource planning for the project.
  • Coordinate reporting to the PMO
  • Documenting best practice construction project management policies and standards;
    o Delivering construction/asset delivery projects to time and within allocated budget;
    o Interpreting drawings and specifications necessary for completion of construction works;
    o An extensive knowledge of civil and structural engineering works;
    o Documenting best practice construction project management policies and standards; and
    o Delivering construction/asset delivery projects to time and within allocated budget.

Profile/Skills

 

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Achieved or working towards professional status.
  • Member of the Institute of Clerk of Works in Ireland is desirable.
  • Construction Management / Supervision experience with a proven track record of carrying out construction management / supervision activities across the project lifecycle through to completion in high value road and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience and knowledge delivering engineering solutions in dynamic urban environments.
  • Site supervision of contract works, including earthworks, drainage, bridge and building construction, preferably within a live urban environment.
  • Experience working with Irish Building Regulations and Irish Planning Processes.
  • Experience with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and its application in the workplace.
  • Experience and understanding of Ecological and environmental aspects related to construction.
