Context

As the Project Accountant you will manage the day-to-day project accounting functions and project reporting requirements by working closely with project team and internal stakeholders ultimately ensuring the financial success of each project for SYSTRA ANZ.
The role is based at our Sydney Location.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Experience in a similar role within a professional services and projects/engineering environment.
  • Strong technical project accounting skills/understanding of project costing and profitability analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, in particular revenue recognition (IFRS 15).
  • Experience working in a project ERP system (Oracle, NetSuite and IFS preferably)
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a degree of autonomy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships and manage those relationships with maturity and confidence.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • 5 - 7 years of project accounting experience within Engineering or Construction.
