Context

We are looking for Schedule Engineer, who will play a major role in a Urban program planning and scheduling, under umbrella of PMC role. The Scheduler Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely delivery of engineering and construction activities . This role involves close coordination with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to track progress, anticipate delays, and implement corrective actions.

This is for a prestigious PMO project and position is to be based at Riyadh. 

Missions/Main Duties

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in large-scale design, planning, and delivery projects within dynamic, fast-paced environments, preferably within development organizations.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain a comprehensive master schedule aligned with organizational and program objectives, incorporating cost and resource loading for efficient utilization.
  • Develop detailed project schedules using recognized planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Update schedules (mainly Master Schedule) regularly to reflect actual project progress and forecast future timelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather relevant schedule inputs.
  • Review and integrate sub-schedules from service providers into the master program schedule.
  • Identify potential schedule risks, analyze impacts, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports (weekly and monthly), progress summaries, and look-ahead information for project management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor critical path activities and key milestones to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide scheduling insights and support decision-making.
  • Support change management by assessing the impact of variations and scope changes on schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and project requirements regarding scheduling and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in scheduling large infrastructure, rail, or engineering projects.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) will be an added value
  • English Speaking. Arabic Speaking will be an added value
