Currently, we are bidding for Bangladesh Railways projects across India. The position of Resident Engineer(CP-08 & CP-09) is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Assist in the design of new railway bridges, including RCC, PSC, and steel structures (ROB, RUB, FOB, minor & major bridges).

  • Prepare and review General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), structural drawings, and bar bending schedules.

  • Ensure adherence to relevant Indian Railway standards (IRS), IRC, IS Codes, and project-specific specifications.

  • Oversee construction activities at bridge sites to ensure compliance with design, drawings, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues during execution.

  • Monitor casting, erection, and launching of bridge components.
  • Conduct inspections of ongoing and completed bridge works to ensure structural integrity and workmanship.

  • Verify reinforcement placement, concrete quality, shuttering, and alignment during various construction stages.

  • Ensure proper documentation of checklists, test results, and site records.

  • Participate in design and progress review meetings, and address queries from clients or approving authorities.
  • Review and validate survey data related to bridge location, alignment, and profile levels.

  • Coordinate with survey teams to assess topographical and geotechnical conditions for foundation suitability.

  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain logs for construction stages.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian Railway safety norms and quality control procedures

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Must have a professional qualification as a civil engineer or other applicable professional qualifications.
  • 15 years of professional experience.
  • 10 years of professional experience in Rolling Stock procurement, including one large-scale (>USD 1 billion) underground/ elevated metro rail project.
  • 2 years of work experience in outside Expert’s country.
  • Must have proficiency in English.
