Systra’s Systems business in India has design and project management capabilities in the systems space. Experts in railway equipment, our teams are experienced in choosing the best-adapted solutions to each situation while meeting various regulatory standards.

SYSTRA has detailed design competency in India in the power supply and overhead lines business in both AC & DC traction. We have also capabilities of designing AC & DC traction, third rail, power supply and OHL. We have experience in executing domestic and some prestigious international projects.

On the Rolling stock, Signaling, Telecommunications, AFC, RAMS & Operations side, Systra India is executing several design review and detailed project reports like: MRVC-CBTC (Migration of Existing Sub-Urban Transit system to CBTC), Bangalore Metro, Kolkata Metro, Pune Metro Phase II, Vijayawada MRTS and Dhaka Metro Line 5N.

 

We are seeking applications for the position of Sr. Engineer Rolling Stock Electrical K3- MMRDA Line 6 - Mumbai 

Missions/Main Duties

  • Design & Engineering:
    • Prepare, review, and validate electrical designs, schematics, and system specifications for rolling stock.
    • Ensure compatibility and integration of electrical systems with traction, auxiliary power, HVAC, lighting, passenger information, and door control systems.
    • Assess the application of industry standards (EN, IEC, IEEE, UIC, etc.) and railway norms in all designs.
  • Project Delivery:
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, signaling, integration) and interface with suppliers/OEMs.
    • Oversee technical aspects during manufacturing, assembly, testing & commissioning of rolling stock.
    • Review suppliers' documentation and support technical evaluations.
  • Testing & Commissioning:
    • Prepare or review test plans, FAT, SAT, and commissioning documentation.
    • Address and resolve technical issues raised during static/dynamic testing and operation.
  • Compliance & Quality:
    • Ensure system conformance to safety requirements (including EN 50126/8/9), EMC, RAMS and quality standards.
    • Participate in hazard and risk assessments, FMEAs, and solve field issues.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare progress reports, technical notes, and close-out documents.
    • Support tendering teams with technical documentation (BOD, SRS, etc.) when required.

 

Profile/Skills

  • Years of experience - 10 years post B.Tech.

• Involved and carried dynamic testing in AW4 and AW0 condition for the type test for propulsion testing in mainline.
• Involved in Signaling testing: ATP and ATO mode function in all set of typical type of tests.
• Participating in FRCAS meetings and aim to resolved project related problems.
• Involved in weekly & monthly meeting along with customer HRC & GMRC.
• Preparing MOM of weekly/monthly meeting.
• Collection of train management system & signaling failure data, failure analysis and troubleshooting
of faults.
• Troubleshooting of faults related to VVVF & TCMS hardware and software.
• Supervising and handling manpower to perform daily failure activity.
• Preparing the Fault investigation report for various faults and plan the cyclic check to monitor the status.
• Follow up with the Design team and Project team for implementation of the Engineering change
