Context

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director to join our dynamic team in Sydney. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of communications engineering within the rail sector, driving revenue growth and forging key relationships with our top-tier clients.

As an Associate Director, you'll be at the forefront of delivering high-level communications engineering consulting, advice, and project management services. You'll play a crucial role in expanding our presence and securing significant projects, particularly within the exciting and rapidly evolving Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) domain.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Cultivate and Nurture Client Relationships: Build and strengthen robust relationships with executive-level decision-makers within SYSTRA's key client accounts. Your ability to connect and understand client needs will be paramount to our success.
  • Drive Account Management: Take ownership of major client accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further collaboration and growth.
  • Forge Strategic Partnerships: Develop relationships with preferred partners and establish impactful alliances to expand our capabilities and market reach.
  • Lead FRMCS Project Strategy: Prepare and execute winning strategies for FRMCS projects, leveraging your expertise to secure new business in this critical area of railway communications.
  • Respond to Tenders: Prepare compelling and technically sound responses to tenders, demonstrating SYSTRA's expertise and value proposition.
  • Generate Revenue: Provide high-level communications engineering consulting, advice, and project management services, directly contributing to our revenue streams.

Profile/Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior role within communications engineering, ideally within the rail or a related infrastructure sector.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Solid experience in account management and business development, with a track record of securing new projects.
  • A strong understanding of communications engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with or a strong desire to specialize in FRMCS projects (Future Railway Mobile Communication System).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
