Context

The OnCorr Project, an integral part of the GO Rail Expansion initiative, aims to enhance the mobility and connectivity within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Region (GTHA) by improving the GO Transit rail network. Within the Capital Projects Group a Specialized Delivery Organization has been created to facilitate efficient implementation of the GO Expansion program.

 

The Specialized Delivery Team - Track will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the GO Expansion Program. This will encompass the identification, evaluation, and selection of the most efficient and effective approaches to construct, integrate, and operate the railway infrastructure and associated components. It involves meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to achieve project objectives while adhering to safety standards, quality requirements, and time constraints.

 

Missions/Main Duties

·         Manage effective relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to provide a point of contact for Special Track work for both pre- and post-installation.

·         Apply project management controls and procedures to all projects so all special track work design and construction are delivered within time, cost and quality KPIs.

·         Senior Project Managers work across the full portfolio of the Specialized Delivery – Track team from minor renewals through to complex multi-disciplinary programs.

Accountable for managing the safe and effective delivery of all projects from low complexity single discipline through to high complexity multi-disciplinary projects in order to meet client requirements to time, cost, quality, and performance.

Profile/Skills

The key technical competencies required to perform the role well are outlined below.

 

·         Experience in the development and delivery of special trackwork projects in compliance with company processes and procedures.

·         Ability to create production of project management plans for special trackwork projects.

·         Demonstrate skills to manage collaborative cross-functional virtual teams to deliver projects.

·         Significant experience of regular progress reports on projects, including relevant risks and issues.

·         Commercial and financial awareness.

·         Experience in delivering project budgets within agreed targets.
