Context

 

A great opportunity for an Administrator to join our dedicated Purchasing & Supply Chain team as a Purchasing Administrator / Assistant on a 6 month contract. The role provides support and assistance to the Purchasing Team in all key administrative and purchase order processing activities. The role is based from our York offices and benefits from the flexibility of hybrid working.

 

We need a proactive team player with strong problem solving, planning and organisational skills. It is also essential to have a supplier & client focus with a resilient attitude & excellent interpersonal skills.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Process requisitions and purchase orders for internal customers
  • Support internal colleagues with using our new ERP system 
  • Assist with monthly KPIs and Data Analysis on Excel
  • Respond timely and professionally to requests from internal colleagues
  • Assist with any other administrative requirements within the Purchasing team
  • Support the team to ensure the best quality goods and services are procured at the most competitive price and with minimal risk.

Profile/Skills

  • Demonstrable administration experience, particularly processing Purchasing Orders
  • Ideally experience with ERP database software or similar
  • Good skills within the Microsoft suite (Excel & Word)
  • Must be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • A problem-solver and decision-maker within authority guidelines
  • Excellent IT skills
