We are seeking applications for the position of Quantity Surveyor for Mumbai Coastal Road Project 

 

Missions/Main Duties

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Measure and quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements
  • Prepare and review bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents
  • Evaluate and compare contractor and supplier quotations
  • Manage and monitor project costs to keep within budget
  • Assess and certify interim and final payments to contractors
  • Value completed works and arrange payments
  • Prepare cost reports and financial statements for stakeholders
  • Assist in contract administration and management
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve variations and changes in project scope
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning
  • Advise on procurement strategies and contract types
  • Negotiate with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual obligations
  • Support the settlement of claims and disputes
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, contracts, and correspondence

Profile/Skills

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in measurement and quantification techniques
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes
  • Expertise in cost estimation and budgeting
  • Familiarity with tendering and procurement procedures
  • Ability to prepare and interpret bills of quantities (BOQ) and contract documents
  • Competence in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, AutoCAD, SAP, CATO)
  • Understanding of contract administration and management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective report writing and documentation skills
  • Good negotiation and communication abilities
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Time management and organizational capabilities
  • Awareness of relevant regulations, standards, and legal requirements
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Skills in managing claims, variations, and disputes
