We are seeking applications for the position of CAD Operator S&T for Mumbai Coastal Road Project 

 

Missions/Main Duties

  • Prepare detailed signaling and telecom system drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation)
  • Convert engineer sketches, specifications, and site data into formal S&T drawings
  • Create layouts for signaling circuits, interlocking diagrams, cable routing, and telecom networks
  • Update and revise S&T drawings based on feedback or design changes
  • Ensure drawings comply with relevant S&T standards, codes, and project requirements
  • Coordinate with S&T engineers, design teams, and other project stakeholders
  • Organize and maintain electronic drawing files and proper documentation
  • Assist in preparing as-built S&T drawings after installation or commissioning
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in signaling and telecom drawings
  • Support creation of 3D models or visualization, if required for S&T systems
  • Prepare quantity take-offs for S&T materials from drawings when needed
  • Maintain version control and track drawing revisions
  • Adhere to established CAD standards and project templates
  • Participate in meetings and design reviews to clarify S&T drawing requirements

Profile/Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley Rail Track)
  • Understanding of signaling and telecom (S&T) system layouts and components
  • Ability to prepare and interpret signaling circuit diagrams, interlocking schematics, and telecom layouts
  • Knowledge of S&T symbols, standards, and industry codes
  • Attention to detail and drafting accuracy
  • Skill in converting sketches, technical specifications, and site data into S&T drawings
  • Experience in managing drawing files and proper documentation practices
  • Ability to update and revise drawings per engineer feedback or project modifications
  • Coordination and communication skills to work with S&T engineers and project teams
  • Familiarity with version control, drawing revision tracking, and CAD standards
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies or issues in drawings
  • Organizational and time management abilities to meet project deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new software tools and adapt to advancements in S&T design
  • Understanding of bill of materials and quantity take-offs (if required for S&T projects)
  • Basic knowledge of railway operations and S&T project workflows (advantageous)
