We are seeking applications for the position of Deputy Team Lead for PMC for upcoming infrastructure development project in Gujarat.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Project Support & Coordination:

    • Assist the Team Leader in managing the project from inception to handover.
    • Coordinate daily project activities and support all team members to deliver on schedule and within budget.
    • Act as the point of contact for team members, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders during the Team Leader’s absence.
  • Technical Oversight:

    • Review and ensure adherence to design standards, technical specifications, and international norms for sports facilities (e.g., FIFA, FIBA, IOC).
    • Contribute to technical evaluations, construction supervision, and quality control processes.
  • Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report deviations to the Team Leader.
    • Prepare regular project status and progress reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Support the Team Leader in engaging with clients, authorities, sports bodies, and community representatives.
    • Attend project meetings and represent the leadership team as required.
  • Risk, Cost, & Quality Management:

    • Identify and help mitigate project risks related to budget, schedule, safety, or quality.
    • Support site audits, safety inspections, and prompt resolution of technical and contractual issues.
  • Documentation:

    • Oversee project documentation, correspondence, contract records, and regulatory approval submissions.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Mentor and guide junior staff and ensure a collaborative team environment.
    • Promote best practices in project management and technical execution within the team.

 

Profile/Skills

  • Minimum of 15 years of overall experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in similar assignments in India.
  • MBA or PG in Construction
    Planning/Management or Project Management/ Finance or relevant field
  • PMP/ PRINCE 2Certified
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
  • Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Minimum Experience of working on 1 similar
    assignment that has been used as a venue or planned to be used for international sports events.
  • Proven track record of working with governmental bodies/organizing committees of mulit-sport mega events, and sports federations.
  • Experience of working as project manager on at least 1large infrastructure project of value more than Rs. 2000 crores.
