We are seeking applications for the position of Principal Architect for PMC for upcoming infrastructure development project in Gujarat.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Project Leadership: Lead the conceptualization, design development, and delivery of sports infrastructure projects such as stadiums, arenas, sports complexes, and training centers.
  • Design Excellence: Establish and uphold design quality standards, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, safety, and sustainability are prioritized in all architectural solutions.
  • Team Management: Direct, mentor, and inspire internal and external design teams; allocate resources and foster collaborative working environments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, and end-users to capture requirements, present designs, and address feedback.
  • Technical Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, construction, landscape, and specialist consultants; integrate architecture with structural systems, MEP, technology, and accessibility requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local, national, and international codes and standards, as well as environmental, safety, and accessibility regulations.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Champion advanced technologies, sustainable building practices, and innovative design trends in sports infrastructure.
  • Documentation & Detailing: Oversee preparation of architectural documentation, drawings, specifications, and tender packages from concept through construction stages.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise site works to ensure design intent is maintained and solutions are executed to the highest standards.
  • Budget & Schedule Oversight: Work with project managers to ensure design deliverables are completed within timeframes and budget parameters.

Profile/Skills

  • Minimum of 15 years of overall experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate Engineer/Architect AND master's in architecture / urban planning.
  • Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
  • Minimum Experience of working on 1 similar assignment which has been used as a venue or planned to be used for either Olympics event or international sports events.
  • Relevant experience in Large Infrastructure Project
    like, Smart Cities/Industrial town ships/Residential Town
    Ships/Hospitals/SEZ (Special Economic Zone/Public/Buildings).
  • Proven track record of working with governmental bodies/organizing committees of multi-sport mega events, and sports federations.
  • Experience of working as Principal / Lead Architect on at least 1 large infrastructure project of value more than Rs.1000 crores.
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
