We are seeking applications for the position of Commercial Legal Manager for PMC for upcoming infrastructure development project in Gujarat.
Legal & Contractual Management
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize project agreements: EPC, design, consultancy, construction, supplier, subcontractor, joint venture, and partnership contracts.
Ensure contracts comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and company standards.
Monitor contract implementation and manage any amendments or variations.
Risk Management
Identify and assess legal/commercial risks at every phase of the project—procurement, construction, commissioning, operation.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure timely escalation of issues where necessary.
Compliance
Advise project teams on statutory and regulatory requirements relating to land acquisition, environmental impact, health & safety, procurement, and labor.
Ensure project activities conform to both local and international legal obligations.
Dispute Resolution
Lead pre-litigation case assessment, manage claims and variations, and liaise with external counsel in case of disputes, litigation, or arbitration.
Support negotiations to resolve conflicts with clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Stakeholder Advisory
Serve as the main contact for legal and commercial advice to project directors/managers, finance, procurement, and engineering teams.
Coordinate with government agencies, municipalities, and legal advisors.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain complete and organized records of all legal documents, contracts, and correspondences.
Prepare regular legal risk assessments and compliance reports for the project leadership.
Policy & Governance
Develop, update, and implement project-specific legal procedures and best practices.
Deliver training to project teams on legal awareness and compliance standards as required.
