Prepare studies and technical reports on the pre-design, design, implementation and maintenance of transport system with particular focus on traffic survey and traffic management. Analyze and interpret data gathered from statistics, surveys and transport studies. Research, prepare written reports covering data/information gathered, and/or provide advise on best engineering solutions to meet project needs, budgets, and time frame. Participate in site visits for data collecton.
5 - 10 years experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or related fields. Need to have worked in progressively more responsible roles in traffic or transportation engineering.
Experience of familiarity with traffic analysis software: VISSIM, SYNCHRO, HCS, Sim Traffic or similar Traffic Modeling and simulation tools.
Proficient in traffic analysis, capacity analysis, and modeling.
Experience in GIS and mapping software.
Strong knowledge of traffic flow theory, signalization design, transportation planning and roadway design.
Familiarity with vehicle-pedestrian interaction, ADA compliance, and safety analysis.
Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
