Context

SYSTRA’s Strategic Sales team is responsible for all pre contract activity within SYSTRA Ltd. We are responsible for the Sales performance of the business, owning and managing corporate relationships and defining and implementing strategies to achieve planned growth in existing and new market areas.


To achieve our ambitious targets for growth, the post holder will be part of the team implementing the strategy supporting work winning across target markets identified. This will be done through diligent monitoring of web portals and other online media to identify potential opportunities. It will also involve market analysis to identify potential clients and funded strategic pursuits. The post holder will be required to understand technical capability, iconic reference projects and target market areas across group. The post holder will have a key interface with the wider Sales Team providing market intel in support of positioning for and conversion of strategic pursuits.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Management of tenders inbox and portals identifying potential leads through these and other sources working closely with Sales Support Team Lead to manage the day-to-day monitoring of opportunities through the provision of timely and effective administrative support.
  • Manage the distribution of tender documentation within the business and take a proactive approach to follow-up with Sector / Discipline Leads liaising with individuals to obtain decision and rationale
  • Apply a systematic approach to tracking and logging tender opportunities – Watch List, No Bid, Decision Required, Live Bid, expressing interest where necessary and flagging relevant deadlines
  • Maintaining documentation in an accessible Sales Support Library to enable efficient completion of PQQ / SSQ information ensuring folders are kept updated and organised and making stakeholders aware of changes in the first instance.
  • Understand the breadth of SYSTRA offering in the UK and globally including consideration of this in the identification of potential leads
