Context

We are seeking a highly experienced Inspector for Facilities & Stations to monitor, inspect, and verify the construction, installation, and finishing works of railway stations and associated facilities. The primary objective of this role is to ensure full compliance with approved designs, specifications, safety protocols, quality standards, and contract requirements.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Ensure all construction activities adhere to contract specifications, approved drawings, relevant standards, and applicable codes.
  • Conduct daily site inspections of civil, architectural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and finishing works.
  • Monitor and report on the quality of materials and workmanship, identifying non-conformities and initiating corrective actions until closure.
  • Report regularly to the PMC (Project Management Consultant) management team on work progress, issues encountered, and the status of corrective measures.
  • Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities for station equipment, systems, and finishing works.
  • Enforce and verify the contractor's adherence to site safety practices; immediately report any unsafe conditions or activities.
  • Review and approve contractor submissions, including inspection requests, method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and as-built drawings.
  • Liaise effectively with contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Participate in final inspections and prepare comprehensive punch lists for station and facility works
  • Prepare and submit detailed daily inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and related documentation

Profile/Skills

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of relevant experience in railway or large infrastructure projects (station construction preferred).
  • Good knowledge of international construction codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
  • Proven experience working in a PMC role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and experience with document control systems (e.g., Aconex, ProjectWise) is an advantage
