Currently, we are bidding for Semi High Speed Rail projects across India. The position of Sr. RAMS Expert [International] is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Lead RAMS Program & Compliance: Establish and manage the overall Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) program, ensuring strict compliance with international railway standards.

  • System Safety Case Development: Be responsible for developing, maintaining, and assuring the System Safety Case for the entire rail line, demonstrating that all risks have been reduced to an acceptable level.

  • Hazard & Risk Management: Conduct and oversee detailed Hazard Identification (HAZID/HAZOP) workshops, maintain the comprehensive Hazard Log, and define mitigation strategies throughout the project life cycle.

  • RAM Analysis & LCC: Perform quantitative Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses on critical equipment (signaling, rolling stock, power) to ensure performance targets and optimize Life Cycle Costs (LCC).

  • Interface RAMS Verification: Define and rigorously verify the RAMS requirements at all technical and operational interfaces to prevent system failures and ensure seamless integration of subsystems.

  • Safety Authority Liaison: Coordinate with Independent Safety Assessors (ISAs) and national regulatory bodies to successfully complete safety reviews and obtain the Authorization to Place in Service (ATPIS).

Profile/Skills

  • Graduate in any branch of Engineering with working Knowledge of reading, writing and Speaking in English.
  • Minimum Experience of 10 years post minimum qualification in RAMS in any Rail based Passenger Transit system.
  • Relevant Experience - 03 years’ experience for Evaluating of the system by conducting RAMS Study on the basis of Outline, planning and design parameters for the Rail Based Passenger Transit System as Sr. RAMS Expert or equivalent position. The period of relevant Experience at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50%. (For example, 02 years will be considered as 01 year).
  • Eligible Assignment - Must have Experience as Sr. RAMS Expert or equivalent position or one level below to the proposed position for a full-time continuous deployment period not less than 2 years.
  • The period of Eligible Assignment at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50%. (For example, 02 years will be considered as 01 year).
  • If assignment period is more than 2 years on a particular project, the number assignment will be considered as follows:
    Min. 4 years = 2 Assignments
    Min. 6 years = 3 Assignments
  • International Experience- Minimum 03 years’ experience on projects for Rail based Passenger Transit system with operational speed of 160 kmph or more in Country(s) as defined in Clause 3.2(II)(A).
