We are seeking applications for the position of Contract Expert for PMC Service for Property Development & Miscellaneous Works in Southern Region.

 

 

Missions/Main Duties

  • Contract Management

    • Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts (EPC, Design & Build, FIDIC, Consultancy, Subcontractor, Supplier).
    • Ensure all contract terms and conditions are clearly communicated and understood by relevant project teams.
    • Maintain a contracts register and track key dates, milestones, obligations, and deliverables.
  • Claims & Disputes

    • Identify, prepare, and resolve contractual claims and variations, including extension of time and cost claims.
    • Support dispute resolution, including preparation of documentation for arbitration or legal proceedings.
    • Interface with legal counsel as necessary.
  • Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations, statutory requirements, and Metro Rail standards.
    • Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation plans.
    • Support the implementation of robust contract management policies and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication

    • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams regarding contractual obligations and changes.
    • Provide expert advice and training on contractual matters to project teams.
  • Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and correspondence.
    • Generate regular reports on contract status, claims, variations, and other metrics for senior management.

Profile/Skills

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering / construction management.
  • Graduate in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
  • More than 18 years of experience.
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
  • Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
