Currently, we are bidding for Semi High Speed Rail projects across India. The position of Chief Rolling Stock Expert is the key position in these BIDs.
Design and Procurement Authority: Oversee the technical specification, design, development, and procurement of all rolling stock (locomotives and coaches) to meet speeds of 160+ km/h.
Performance Assurance: Act as the final authority for verifying critical high-speed characteristics, including aerodynamics, ride comfort, traction/braking performance, and energy efficiency.
System Integration (Interfaces): Manage the critical technical interface between the rolling stock and other systems, particularly Signalling (ETCS on-board units), Power Supply, and Track Infrastructure.
Testing and Validation (T&C): Lead the entire Testing and Commissioning (T&C) program for the fleet, covering dynamic tests, type tests, and proving runs to ensure safe operation.
Safety and Standards: Ensure full compliance with all relevant international (e.g., UIC, EN) and local safety standards, regulations, and RAMS requirements specific to high-speed trains.
Maintenance & Depot Planning: Define the long-term maintenance strategy, specify the required depot facilities, and establish maintenance procedures for the new fleet.
Contract Management: Provide expert technical input for contract management, design reviews, and factory inspections, supporting the client during the manufacturing and delivery phases.
