Currently, we are bidding for Semi High Speed Rail projects across India. The position of Chief Depot Expert is the key position in these BIDs.
Depot Design and Layout Finalization: Lead and approve the overall technical design and functional layout of the maintenance and stabling depot. This includes optimizing track geometry, identifying the precise location for maintenance lines, workshops, washing plants, and administrative buildings to ensure efficient vehicle flow and maintenance workflow.
Rolling Stock Maintenance Philosophy: Define the maintenance philosophy and strategy for the semi-speed train fleet (e.g., daily checks, schedule-based maintenance, heavy repair, and overhaul). This dictates the required depot facilities, machinery, and specialized testing equipment.
Machinery & Plant (M&P) Specification: Specify, select, and manage the procurement of all Depot Machinery and Plant (M&P). Key equipment includes underfloor wheel lathes, lifting jacks, bogie test rigs, overhead cranes, shunting vehicles, and automated measuring/diagnostic systems essential for high-speed maintenance.
Systems Integration and Commissioning: Oversee the integration and system testing for all key depot systems, including the Depot Control Centre (DCC), train wash plants, fluid dispensing systems, and the crucial interface between the maintenance equipment and the Rolling Stock itself.
Safety and Standards Compliance: Ensure that the depot design and all construction activities strictly adhere to local and international railway safety standards, environmental regulations, and fire safety codes. This role is critical for securing final certification for depot operations.
Interface and Documentation Management: Manage the technical interface with other project disciplines (Civil, Signaling, OHE, etc.) that connect to the depot. Approve all final technical documentation, 'As-Built' drawings, and maintenance manuals necessary for the eventual operation and maintenance (O&M) team handover.
We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency. As we are growing, this is time to be a part of this challenging adventure. It’s not a job - it’s a career!
