SYSTRA has completed 17,000+ Square kilometer of Statutory Master Planning and 15+ City Development Plans (CDPs).

 

We are seeking applications for the position of Project Manager– cum- Planner for GIS based Master Plan in Andhra Pradesh.

Missions/Main Duties

Project Management:

  • Develop and oversee detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets to ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members (planners, architects, engineers, GIS experts, etc.) to integrate diverse planning components.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address delays or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, contractual obligations, and relevant standards/guidelines.

Technical Planning:

  • Contribute technically to the preparation of master plans, regional development plans, land use plans, infrastructure layouts, and development regulations.
  • Facilitate the integration of planning concepts such as sustainable development, smart city principles, mobility, and environmental considerations.
  • Utilize GIS, data analysis tools, and planning software to support the development and presentation of planning solutions.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consulting partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Organize and participate in meetings, presentations, workshops, and public consultations, ensuring stakeholder buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate complex planning concepts and project updates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Ensure the timely preparation, review, and quality control of all project documentation, reports, drawings, and statutory submissions.
  • Track and report on project progress, budget status, and resource allocation to senior management and clients as required.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Supervise, mentor, and support team members to build competencies and promote a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.

Profile/Skills

  • Master's degree in urban planning, Regional Planning, Urban Design, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience in urban or regional planning/design projects, with demonstrable project management experience.
  • Experience on large-scale planning/design projects and working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with government clients and/or donor-funded projects is advantageous.
