We are seeking applications for the position of Housing, Real Estate and Development Control Regulation Specialist for GIS based Master Plan in Andhra Pradesh.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Policy and Strategy Development

    • Assess and develop housing policies in line with national and state frameworks, including market dynamics and local needs.
    • Formulate strategies for slum rehabilitation, redevelopment, affordable housing, and inclusive urban development.
    • Advise on and draft land development policies and frameworks for sustainable urban/regional growth.
  • Regulatory Planning

    • Prepare, review, and update zoning regulations and development control norms, ensuring compliance with local, state, and national policies.
    • Assist in the integration of land use zoning, real estate, and housing regulation components within comprehensive master/regional plans.
    • Provide technical input on building codes, Floor Area Ratios (FAR), building bye-laws, and urban renewal frameworks.
  • Housing and Real Estate Analysis

    • Conduct market assessment and Demand Need Assessments for housing across various socio-economic groups.
    • Analyze trends in real estate, land economics, and housing demand to inform project strategies and recommendations.
    • Evaluate and advise on the implementation of government housing schemes like PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana).
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Liaise with government agencies, municipal corporations, housing boards, developers, and community groups.
    • Facilitate public consultations and stakeholder workshops on housing and redevelopment issues within the project area.
    • Incorporate feedback and best practices into policy documents and project deliverables.
  • Reporting & Compliance

    • Prepare technical reports, policy briefs, guidelines, and statutory submissions related to housing, real estate, and land development.
    • Ensure all project outputs are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements and reflect the latest government policies and guidance.

Profile/Skills

  • Master’s degree in Housing Planning, Urban and Regional Planning (MURP), or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in housing policy, real estate development, zoning, and development control regulations—preferably for metropolitan cities in India.
  • Hands-on experience in formulating housing strategies, slum rehabilitation/redevelopment policies, and land development guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Indian housing policies, market assessment (demand/need assessment studies), PMAY, and related government housing schemes.
  • In-depth understanding of housing policies, urban land management, real estate market analysis, and development regulations.
