We are seeking applications for the position of GIS Expert for GIS based Master Plan in Andhra Pradesh.

• GIS Analysis and Mapping

  • Acquire, process, and analyze satellite imageries and aerial photographs relevant to the project area.
  • Prepare high-quality base maps and thematic maps (land use, infrastructure, environmental sensitivity, etc.) to support planning and design activities.
  • Generate, manage, and update spatial datasets to ensure data accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.

• Remote Sensing Interpretation

  • Interpret remote sensing imagery to extract relevant planning information such as land cover, topography, water bodies, and built-up areas.
  • Conduct change detection studies and spatial analysis for urban growth, infrastructure development, and environmental assessments.

• Integration with Planning Team

  • Work closely with urban planners, engineers, and other specialists to integrate GIS-based analysis into the overall urban/regional planning framework.
  • Provide spatial analysis and visualization support for scenario planning, site suitability analysis, and decision-making.

• Capacity Building and Data Management

  • Establish and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring secure data storage and accessibility for all project stakeholders.
  • Train team members and stakeholders in the use and interpretation of GIS outputs where required.

• Master’s degree in Remote Sensing, GIS, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university.
• Proven experience as a GIS expert in urban/regional planning or area development projects of similar scale.
• Having 5 years of experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in interpreting satellite imageries and preparing base maps for large-scale planning assignments.
