SYSTRA has completed 17,000+ Square kilometer of Statutory Master Planning and 15+ City Development Plans (CDPs).

We are seeking applications for the position of Senior Planner for GIS based Master plan.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Leadership & Project Management

    • Provide overall direction and supervision to planning teams in the preparation and execution of master plans, development plans, regional plans, and local area plans.
    • Serve as Team Leader, Project Director, or in an equivalent senior capacity, managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders throughout the planning project lifecycle.
    • Ensure project deliverables meet client expectations, statutory requirements, and best industry practices.
  • Technical Expertise

    • Lead the formulation, review, and updating of master plans, development control regulations, and planning frameworks for cities/towns.
    • Oversee the preparation of town planning schemes, regional strategies, and local area plans.
    • Contribute expert advice on land use, zoning, transportation, infrastructure, and urban design integration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Engage with government agencies, urban local bodies, community representatives, and other key stakeholders to ensure participatory and inclusive planning processes.
    • Facilitate workshops, consultations, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure all planning documents comply with national and state policies, regulatory frameworks, and statutory provisions.
    • Review and approve technical reports, drawings, and presentations produced by the planning team.
  • Capacity Building & Mentoring

    • Mentor and guide junior planners and support staff.
    • Foster knowledge sharing, professional development, and team capacity building within the organization.

Profile/Skills

  • Master’s degree in planning from an accredited college/university.
  • At least 15 years of professional experience in urban/regional planning.
  • Demonstrated experience as Team Leader, Project Director, Town Planner, or in an equivalent senior role on master plan and development plan projects for cities/towns.
  • Experience in formulating Regional Plans, Local Area Plans, Town Planning Schemes, and similar planning assignments is highly desirable.
