Context

The Accounting Officer will be reporting to the Head of Finance and Regional Shared Services  and working under the supervision of the relevant SYSTRA Group Support and Transversal Manager (including SYSTRA’s Southeast Asia entities: China, Hong Kong, Singapore & Thailand).  

 

Key responsibilities include ead processing of timesheets, handling supplier invoices and accounts payable, and supporting month-end/year-end closings and reports.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Responsible for processes around staff timesheets and related works.
  • Handle surveyor timesheets and input journal voucher.
  • Records accounting entries related to the processes.
  • Handles supplier invoices and payment Accounts Payable.
  • Prepares payments by verifying supporting documentation versus the company policies’ requirements.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls around Finance processes.
  • Support month-end/year-end closing activities and submission of management reports.
  • Provides external and internal audit requirements as may be requested.
  • Recommends action items that may improve processes.
  • Handle general clerical works and supports for the Finance team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance and Regional Shared Services.

Profile/Skills

  • LCC/Diploma in Finance or Accounting.
  • At least (5) years accounting/admin experience in a transportation consultancy firm.
  • Knowledge in accounting software. Prior experience in Agresso accounting system is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications (Word, Powerpoint and Excel).
  • Advanced Excel user (e.g. Pivot Table, VLookup etc).
  • Knowledgeable in IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Good interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, team player.
  • Analytical and be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
