Context

We’re looking for a new OCS Designer I for our System & Power Sector to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them. 

Missions/Main Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the OCS Design Manager
  • Contribute to the management of OCS activities under supervision
  • Contribute to the production of OCS drawings and BIM models (layouts, cross-sections…)
  • Collaborate with Civil and Structural Engineers to integrate OCS designs into overall transportation infrastructure
  • Support the preparation of design report and develop documents, including specifications, drawings, and cost estimates
  • Participate in the review of project submittals and assist with responses to requests for information from contractors
  • Provide assistance in installation, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, standards, and best practices in all design and installation processes

Profile/Skills

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; relevant coursework and projects during college are considered.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Interest in obtaining a professional engineer’s license or engineer-in-training certificate
  • Enthusiasm for the transit/transportation industry.
  • Willingness to participate in field testing of OCS systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Salary Range: $86,000-120,000, SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
