We are seeking applications for the position of Transport Planner for

Zonal Development Plans for eastern part of India.

 

 

Missions/Main Duties

  • Transport Planning:
    Lead and support transport planning activities, contributing to the preparation of Zonal Development Plans, including infrastructure planning for towns and regions.
  • Survey & Data Management:
    Plan and manage transportation surveys, field studies, data collection, analysis, and mapping to inform mobility strategies and decision-making.
  • Infrastructure Project Experience:
    Participate in infrastructure planning assignments of similar magnitude, size, and nature in India or internationally, applying global best practices.
  • Urban Mobility Solutions:
    Formulate proposals for road network design, traffic management, road infrastructure planning, travel demand modeling, and intersection/interchange design.
  • Mega City Experience:
    Utilize substantial experience from work in mega city environments, applying expertise in design of roads, NMT (Non-Motorized Transport), mobility design, and multimodal integration.
  • Mass Transit Planning:
    Provide input on elementary planning for MRTS (Metro, Light Rail, Mono Rail) projects and integration with other transportation modes.
  • Stakeholder Consultation:
    Engage with stakeholders through consultations and workshops, collecting inputs and ensuring alignment with planning objectives.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    Prepare high-quality technical documentation, analysis reports, drawings, and presentations to support project approvals and stakeholder understanding.

Profile/Skills

  • Postgraduate Degree in Transport Planning, Transportation Engineering, or an equivalent field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transport planning, transportation engineering, or related assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing transportation surveys, field studies, data analysis, and stakeholder consultation.
  • Relevant experience in infrastructure planning assignments for towns/regions of a similar scale.
  • Proven track record with mega city projects, including design of roads, traffic management, travel demand modeling, road infrastructure planning, intersection/interchange design, NMT & mobility design.
  • Basic experience in planning for MRTS (Metro, Light Rail, Monorail) projects.
