Context

Project Planner will be responsible for delivering the programme to schedule and to budget. The main focus of this role will be to prepare integrated and coordinated project plans, enabling resource and material requirements. This will involve working on cost resources, change management, cost and value.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Developing fully baselined, resource loaded and labour costed project schedules
  • Developing schedules containing all agreed activities, deliverables milestones and client deliverables based on the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Implementing and maintain project monitoring processes such as KPIs, total float, Earned Value (EV), resource and costing
  • Monitoring progress and anticipating problems to keep the project on track, including creating recovery and contingency plans
  • Monitoring and auditing contractor plans and planning processes
  • Performing analysis and scenario modeling for potential project changes
  • Providing risk, issue, cost , resource and delay analysis
  • Performing critical path analysis and advising of possible actions and areas of concern
  • Providing regular reports on project status for internal reporting requirements
  • Proved EV and KPI reports internally to the client
  • Attending project coordination meetings to discuss project status with specific reference to engineering activity, sourcing, quality, cost and delivery

Profile/Skills

  • Technical/ engineering related university degree
  • Minimum (10) years’ experience in the required field of expertise for similar projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Experience of schedule risk and claims analysis
  • An understanding with financial areas and commercial aspects of project management
  • Strong knowledge of earned value management, milestones and KPI reporting.
  • Experience in Rail or related project.
