Currently, we are bidding for Metro Rail projects across India. The position of Chief Resident Engineer- (System- Telecom) is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Oversee the design, installation, and integration of telecom systems including public address systems, passenger information systems, CCTV, radio communication, fiber optics, and networking throughout stations, trains, and control centers.
  • Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and material submittals ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate telecom works on-site, leading contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and quality execution.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems to ensure reliable operation, safety, and compatibility with other metro subsystems (signaling, power, etc.).
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and interface challenges in collaboration with other engineering teams, ensuring smooth project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance protocols, and obtain necessary approvals and certifications for telecom systems.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to project engineers and operations staff on telecom technologies and maintenance best practices.

Profile/Skills

  • Graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Telecommunication
  • 20+ years in rail related major infrastructure project/railway/ metro. Shall have experience of execution of Telecom system (FOTS, PIS, PIDS, CCTV Telephone etc.) and reviewing design of Telecom System in at least two metro railway project.
